Using my NY Wildlife Ambassador Program family pass this summer I went to the NY Aquarium on a play date with another friend of mine. Our boys loved all the animals especially the sharks. It’s amazing what the kids learn just watching the animals swim around. I wanted to go back to the Aquarium before the end of summer, but unfortunately haven’t been able to. Cannot believe it’s October already. But that also means it’s the month for ghosts and ghouls to come out and play! This year, I’m so excited because I’m part of the Bronx Zoo Ambassador program and was told that the Boo at the Zoo program is back this year! The festivities began last past weekend. They say young children develop one skill at a time. My lil man is a bit behind on speaking full sentences. When I compare him to friend’s who were born the same year, I’ve noticed many of them are all speaking full sentences. He’s now 26 months and just started stringing words together in English. Our pediatrician assured us early on it’s because he’s been able to speak sentences in Chinese and has learned sign language as well so she says it’s because he’s multi-lingual. Did you know the New York Aquarium has a new exhibit called A-MAZE-ING Water? As an Ambassador for the Wildlife Conservation Society, I was given information about this a few weeks ago. I even attended the kick-off event where they had displays about the NY water, a maze for the kids and other activities. A-MAZE-ING Water exhibit is open to the public through September 9, 2012 and features elements of the New York Seascape, the aquarium’s conservation program that works to preserve local NY waters. As part of the program, they have Water’s Extreme Journey where visitors will travel through a 1,500-square-foot maze, learning about the environmental threats that plague our waterways along…

You know, I love the Bronx Zoo. But what can make it even better? LEGO!!! So, when I was notified by my Bronx Zoo contact as part of the Ambassador Program about this Summer LEGO program I was so excited! I can’t wait to go with lil man. A few weeks ago, I took lil man to Funtime Junction. We had purchased tickets from living social for a discount entry tickets. It was smaller than I expected. Definitely smaller than the new Paramus Chuck E. Cheese. I’m not sure I’d go there regularly simply because Chuck E. Cheese is so close by for us. But the other reason I wouldn’t go often is because of the entry fee. You pay the entry fee plus then you need to buy tokens to play games.
