Family Fun Day at the Bronx Zoo Boo at the Zoo!

I know I wrote about the Boo at the Zoo activities at the Bronx Zoo before – if you missed it you can read the post here – But I’m writing about it again because I went this past weekend. It was a lot of fun and I’m not just saying this because of the ambassador program. In fact, this post isn’t even sponsored. I just wanted to share our experience from attending the event.

Hubs and I decided to take lil man so he could wear his halloween costume and because I wanted to take him to the Bronx Zoo again before winter kicked in. We went over the summer and he loved the giraffes.

Here he is in his pirate outfit at the entrance with hubs giving goofy faces and excited to go into the Zoo.

Lil man really loved the hay maze.

We didn’t go to the Haunted Mansion. The line was pretty long and lil man isn’t really into things like that right now. He got scared looking at the huge spider hanging from the trees. We also didn’t make it to the hayride. We didn’t want to wait in line for it because it was getting chilly and lil man wanted to see the butterflies.

Every time we passed by a map, he had to make sure to point to where he wanted to go next.

The Extinct Species Graveyard was interesting. There were a lot of facts on each stone about the species. Great for older kids to learn about.

We stopped by the music show. Dancing and games for the kids. There’s also a magic show, but we didn’t stay for it since we didn’t have a whole lot of time before closing time.

This weekend is the last weekend for Boo at the Zoo. If you buy tickets online you’ll save 10% for admission. And if children go in their costume they enter for free with one paid adult admission. We had a lot of fun. I think your kids will too.

And, a little treat… some photos lil man took with his camera from the butterfly exhibit:

Hope you get a chance to go and have fun!!!

And, while this wasn’t a sponsored post, I wanted to leave the disclaimer here anyway. Disclaimer: Our blog is participating in a sponsored ambassador program from the Bronx Zoo/NY Aquarium.
