Letting Kids Get Dirty
I recently discovered my lil man loves to finger paint. It was a big surprise to me because as an infant and younger toddler, he was always afraid to get his hands dirty. He’s always loved to paint, but always insisted on using a brush. After learning about how he loved to finger paint, I went all out. I decided to let him paint a canvas. He definitely enjoyed it especially since it was with his two favorite colors of the month. Then an idea came to me. I wanted to give my in-laws a Christmas gift while we were there visiting. I asked one of my Sister-in-laws what she…

Here are a few items my kids love that you should check out whether they’re for your kids, nieces, nephews or friends kids. Light Up Links for Kids
Last month, my friend Natalie at Hollywood Hot Moms asked me to check out Light Up Links. What exactly are they? Think glow sticks, but in a shape of a ball. I was hesitant at first because there are a lot of small pieces and they’re meant for children a little older than my kiddos. With a 16-month-old, I always worry lil lady will eat toy pieces. But, like legos, we had lil man play with the Light Up Links on our dining room table with supervision. These are actually really fun once you have an understanding of what it does. The balls light up once you shake them and…

Have Fun with H&M’s “All for Children” Collection this Halloween and do Social Good
This past Friday, I had the opportunity to visit the H&M showroom in NYC to check out their “All for Children” Halloween line. It is so darn cute and if you’re still looking for a costume for your little one, it’s totally worth checking out. I didn’t even know they had a Halloween line until I saw this fabulous collection. When I got to the showroom, I was surprised me by asking me which one these adorable outfits I’d like for my lil man. It really was completely unexpected and definitely not the reason why I wrote this post because you know I only write about things with my own…

Encourage Creativity with Kiwi Crate
A few weeks ago, I received a complimentary sample box of the Kiwi Crate. Unfortunately, due to some emergency issues I wasn’t able to check it out until this past week. I couldn’t hold off any longer because lil man has been staring at this box the entire time and with great patience didn’t ask about opening it until this weekend. He was so excited opening and unwrapping the contents. Which by the way, is packaged quite nicely. The instruction manuals are so cute. I especially like the indications on bottom of the front cover: a messy meter, grownup involvement meter and the things the Kiwi Crate will be providing,…

Have Some Water Fun with D6 Surfskimmers and HangTen
Have you heard of D6 Surfskimmers? I mentioned them last month because they were one of our awesome sponsors for the JerseyLove trip. There was also a great twitter party that generated tons of impressions. But, I haven’t really gone into a lot of detail on the boards, so I’m dedicating this post to the D6 Surf Skimmers today. During our JerseyLove trip, we spent a day in Belmar. The weather was terrible, but we hung out at DJais and some of our ladies bared the tropical storm and hit the waves with D6 and the Hangten surfboards: Some of the kids in our group took to the beach bravely…

The Big Toy Book Holiday Party Fun
We had an amazing time at The Big Toy Book Holiday party on Saturday. Lil man had two hours of fun! Playing with the toys and running around from room to room, table to table. He especially enjoyed the new Nerf toy shooters. I’ll share more about the event and brands in the weeks to come. Be sure to come back to check them out.
