New Luminosity Show from Big Apple Circus Giveaway

Ok. Who doesn’t enjoy a performance? How about a Circus? Most kids love the circus and I’m hoping my kids will too because we were asked to attend the new show, Luminosity, from the Big Apple Circus next month. Only one thing I’m not too excited about is clowns – it’s an old childhood thing – but I definitely can’t wait to see double trapeze artists soaring, teeter-board acrobats flying, and the wire-walkers suspended in mid-air under the Big Top Tent. I know my lil man will enjoy the juggling – he’s fascinated with throwing things – and lil lady will love the horses because every lil girl love horses,…

99 Cents Dunkin’ Donuts Iced Tea/Coffee and $25 mGift Giveaway

I don’t start my day with coffee, but I am a huge fan of tea. Hot or cold, I can drink tea all day. Really. I’m not addicted to tea. I just feel great after a nice cup of tea. May be it’s my Chinese heritage that taught me to appreciate tea. Either way, it’s a big part of my life. I can very well make my own tea at home, of course, but sometimes when I’m out and about, I need a place to buy one. A few weeks ago I was told about Dunkin’ Donuts January promo – $0.99 Iced Coffee and Iced Tea! This weekend I stopped…

    Letting Kids Get Dirty

I recently discovered my lil man loves to finger paint. It was a big surprise to me because as an infant and younger toddler, he was always afraid to get his hands dirty. He’s always loved to paint, but always insisted on using a brush. After learning about how he loved to finger paint, I went all out. I decided to let him paint a canvas. He definitely enjoyed it especially since it was with his two favorite colors of the month. Then an idea came to me. I wanted to give my in-laws a Christmas gift while we were  there visiting. I asked one of my Sister-in-laws what she…

Holiday Gift Guide 2013: For the Kiddos

Alright. The second week of December is coming to an end already. Crazy! I’m definitely not prepared for Christmas. If you’re in my boat then it means you’re still looking for presents for your wee ones. Here are a few items my kids love that you should check out whether they’re for your kids, nieces, nephews or friends kids.   Melissa & Doug Deluxe Vehicles in a Box Jigsaw Puzzles – Lil man LOVES jigsaw puzzles and I love the ones from Melissa & Doug. These sets come with four different puzzles (12 pieces each image). Each puzzle is identified by a shape. The kids have fun while learning their shapes…

    Light Up Links for Kids

Last month, my friend Natalie at Hollywood Hot Moms asked me to check out Light Up Links.  What exactly are they? Think glow sticks, but in a shape of a ball. I was hesitant at first because there are a lot of small pieces and they’re meant for children a little older than my kiddos. With a 16-month-old, I always worry lil lady will eat toy pieces. But, like legos, we had lil man play with the Light Up Links on our dining room table with supervision. These are actually really fun once you have an understanding of what it does. The balls light up once you shake them and…

Holiday Gift Guide for Women (ahem Mom) 2013

The Holiday season is finally here. Definitely one of my favorite times of the year. Why? Because I truly enjoy giving gifts. There’s just something about seeing everyone smile when they open a gift. This year I decided to do a holiday gift guide – best gifts for women (mom cough). Each of these items are awesome! Why? Because not only are these all small businesses, but they’re also women-owned. Two things I often look for when I shop – supporting my fellow women and small businesses. The added plus? These wonderful women are all friends of mine who do amazing things with their businesses and products. [row cols_nr=”3″ bg_color=”46bcb7″]…

Have Fun with H&M’s “All for Children” Collection this Halloween and do Social Good

This past Friday, I had the opportunity to visit  the H&M showroom in NYC to check out their “All for Children” Halloween line. It is so darn cute and if you’re still looking for a costume for your little one, it’s totally worth checking out. I didn’t even know they had a Halloween line until I saw this fabulous collection. When I got to the showroom, I was surprised me by asking me which one these adorable outfits I’d like for my lil man. It really was completely unexpected and definitely not the reason why I wrote this post because you know I only write about things with my own…

    Encourage Creativity with Kiwi Crate

A few weeks ago, I received a complimentary sample box of the Kiwi Crate. Unfortunately, due to some emergency issues I wasn’t able to check it out until this past week. I couldn’t hold off any longer because lil man has been staring at this box the entire time and with great patience didn’t ask about opening it until this weekend. He was so excited opening and unwrapping the contents. Which by the way, is packaged quite nicely. The instruction manuals are so cute. I especially like the indications on bottom of the front cover: a messy meter, grownup involvement meter and the things the Kiwi Crate will be providing,…

Petite PARADE Stride Rite Children’s Group Showcase

If you don’t already know, I’m a huge fan of Stride Rite and over the weekend I attended their fashion show, part of the Petite PARADE Kids Fashion Week. They had the most adorable emcees kick off the show. They’re twin models, TV personalities, actors and reporters – Tristin and Tyler. Absolutely meant to be in the public eye. Now, I know we’re just kicking off Autumn in the NYC area (and it’s my favorite season), but their coming line has me wishing for Spring again. I loved the colors of all the footwear on the runway yesterday. Coloful, fun and sporty. All the things that kids should be. I’m not…
