Have Fun with H&M’s “All for Children” Collection this Halloween and do Social Good
This past Friday, I had the opportunity to visit the H&M showroom in NYC to check out their “All for Children” Halloween line. It is so darn cute and if you’re still looking for a costume for your little one, it’s totally worth checking out. I didn’t even know they had a Halloween line until I saw this fabulous collection. When I got to the showroom, I was surprised me by asking me which one these adorable outfits I’d like for my lil man. It really was completely unexpected and definitely not the reason why I wrote this post because you know I only write about things with my own opinions and honestly. I actually went into it not knowing what I was going to write about, but the Collection really just speaks for itself.
Now, back to the “All for Children” collection. It’s not your typical costumes of superheros, witches and vampires. Instead, your kiddos will be stylish pirates, mermaids and even Marie Antoinette because it’s inspired by the 18th century masquerade ball! I’ve always been in love with the 18th century and fascinated with French history so this line is completely awesome to me. Seriously, I love how different their costumes are and best of all, whenever you buy something from the “All for Children” line H&M donates 25% of all retail sales from their global “All for Children” collection to UNICEF! Great costumes with social good? Awesome in my book because you know I love doing social good.
Do some social good and let your daughter be a pirate this year with multiple options, which also have matching socks and stockings (not pictured) available also:
Or for the little ladies who love frilly, they can be a skeleton princess fairy. They have matching skeleton stockings (not pictured) and a princess crown
Or this shirt and skirt set and you can get the matching accessory too – shoes! The shoes are great because they’re not only cute and easy to put on, they have non-slip padding on the bottom. H&M – they think of everything.
Mermaids are always in style. I had to take multiple photos of this enchanting outfit to show all the angles of the tail for you.
My favorite in the girls line is the Marie Antoinette costume. You can get the matching hair wig too for a finish. If my lil lady was bigger this would likely have been her costume this year (of her choice of course).
Now, for the boys. Great pirate set and you can complete the look with hat, boots and the parrot!
Or they could be the headless horseman, but with a replacement pumpkin head
Another choice for the boys, black and white stripes complete with bow tie or a skeleton
Or may be they just want to wear black pants and get a red pirate shirt with a bat cape.
My favorite is this set – it’s more of a pajama set, but this is the set I chose as a gift for my lil man because he loves pajamas and is currently very into Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
Whatever their choice, your kiddos be different from the rest in these fab 18th century sets! Stand out and have fun too this Halloween and all year long!
And, by the way, parts of the collection are made from more sustainable materials like organic cotton and Tencel so the fabric is nice and soft. The collection is already available online and in select stores. If you still need a costume for next week, better get shopping now.
About the All for Children initiative
H&M launched the All for Children initiative with UNICEF in 2009 with a $4.5 million donation to help children in some of the world’s poorest communities. By donating 25% of all retail sales from this autumn’s global All for Children collection, H&M will help UNICEF provide 40,000 children living in Dhaka, Bangladesh, with improved access to education and protection of their basic rights including prevention of child labor.
