Sponsored: Boo at the Zoo Returns to the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo

Cannot believe it’s October already. But that also means it’s the month for ghosts and ghouls to come out and play! This year, I’m so excited because I’m part of the Bronx Zoo Ambassador program and was told that the Boo at the Zoo program is back this year!

The festivities began last past weekend. I’m hoping to take my lil ones this weekend if the weather clears up – rain rain go away! But, if not, I have until October 28th to go and so do you!

Activities run for four more weekends:

  • October 6-8
  • October 13-14
  • October 20-21
  • October 27-28

You and the kiddos will have fun doing the following:

  • The Haunted Habitat Mansion
  • Creepy Hallows Hayride
  • Hay maze
  • Haunted extinct graveyard
  • Costume Parade
  • Master Carver Pumpkin carving demonstrations
  • Music, Magic and More

And your kiddos will love this – they can wear their costume before Halloween! You’ll love it too because children 12 and under wearing a Halloween costume will receive FREE general admission with one paid adult general admission.

Note: All Boo at the Zoo activities are included with the price of general admission with the exception of the hayride and haunted mansion. The Creepy Hollows Hayride and the Haunting Mansion walk-through adventure are included with the purchase of a Total Experience Ticket.

While supplies last, guests who purchase four or more Total Experience Tickets online will receive a plush snake hat which started September 17th. You can purchase tickets at the Bronx Zoo Website.

The Haunting at Habitat Mansion
The Habitat Mansion, once owned by wildlife conservationist Dr. Benton Broome, is said to be the most haunted landmark in the Bronx Zoo. Dr. Broome left his legacy of preserving animal wildlife, habitats and conserving the earth’s precious ecological resources to his son, Dusty.  But Dusty is not up for the challenge and the ghost of his father  wants to ensure the memory of all endangered species is not forgotten. In the Haunted Habitat  mansion, ghosts of the past, visions of extinct animals, and the messages of Dr. Broome’s ghostly house servants encourage guests to remember the importance of protecting wildlife from the threat of extinction. Mansion admission is included with Total Experience Tickets.
