    Hello 2013! New Year Resolution

It’s amazing how quickly 2012 went by and now the new year is here. Like everyone else, I’m thinking about what needs to be done this year. I had an amazing 2012 which included the birth of my daughter, lots of happy memories with my family and friends and spending time with my son who developed immensely last year. Do I have a resolution this year? Yes. Only one…to have more patience. More patience for everything and everyone. By developing patience, it will help me in all areas of life from personal to business. Having more patience won’t prevent me from accomplishing my goals. I feel it will help me.…

How to Help the Families in Newtown, CT

I am still quite in shock about what happened to the innocent children, teachers and families at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. There is not much I can do for them. I cannot bring their children back. I cannot heal their hearts. What I can do is very little, but for what it’s worth, here I spread the word for those looking for a way to donate to the families in Newtown CT, a friend gave me this link. Her cousin-in-law lives in Newtown who passed this information to her and she’s passed it to me. Now I pass it to you in hopes that every little bit…

My Shock at the Newtown, CT, Sandy Hook Elementary School News

Late this afternoon, I was done with work so I decided to do a quick check on my Facebook account as my kids were due to wake up from their naps soon. As my newsfeed was updating, I noticed a couple statuses about prayers for Connecticut. I decided to Google CT latest news. I was no prepared to read what I read. At that moment, my kids both woke up from their naps while tears were running down my face. I held them both tightly and gave them kisses. My oldest, at 2-1/2 years old looked at me with confusion and asked why I was crying. I did not know…

    Parent Tip: Have the Keys

If you have doors that automatically lock from the outside & you have young children. Be sure to always carry a set of keys with you or hide a key somewhere in your garage. You never know when your kiddos will close the door on you & lock you out. They might not know how to open the door for you.

    Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 Carseat & Strollers

A couple weeks ago I attended an event at Babies R Us to look at the new SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 Carseat from Graco. You can read that post here. I don’t currently need a new carseat, but I posted about it because I was very excited about the new carseat. I have a SnugRide 35 I used for lil man and am now using it for lil lady. After seeing the carseat I’m still excited about it and wanted to share photos I took during the event. Oh, and by the way Graco and Babies R Us did NOT ask me to post this. I’m not sponsored in anyway by either…

It was a lot of fun and I’m not just saying this because of the ambassador program. In fact, this post isn’t even sponsored. I just wanted to share our experience from attending the event. Hubs and I decided to take lil man so he could wear his halloween costume and because I wanted to take him to the Bronx Zoo again before winter kicked in. We went over the…

Exposing Your Kids to Different Cultures Through Music

I truly enjoy is experiencing things from other cultures. Be it food, watching traditional rituals like wedding ceremonies or emerging in culture through travel it’s just fun to see how the rest of the world does things. As my children grow up, I want to instill this joy in their lives also. One of the easiest ways to do this is through music. I’ve always enjoyed listening to different music. From music in my own Chinese culture to those of Bollywood. Listening to music can introduce a wide range of sounds to your children and open up the world to them. It can give them a window to see the rest…
