This weekend, I’m heading to Boston. Why? Because I’m attending my first ever Blog conference! I’m quite excited. I’ve always been big on networking so I’m looking forward to this event put together by the SITS girls (Tiffany Romero & Francesca Banducci).
Having decided to grow this blog into a business related to parenting, I decided it was important to meet other bloggers of all niches. As the SITS girls say:
“the secret to success is support”
Attending their Bloggy Bootcamp is the next step toward building my community of support. So far, the network has proven to be an AWESOME group of people. The speakers line up looks great so far:
- Amanda, aka Dumb Mom, Parenting by Dummies
- Amy Bradley-Hole, The Bee Dot
- Charlene DeLoach Oliver, Charlene Chronicles
- Lindsey Garrett, the Mod Chik
- Niri, Mommy Niri Cares
- Katja Presnal, Skimbaco Lifestyle
- Carol Schiller
- Sarah Visbeek, In the Trenches of Mommyhood
- Erica Voll, Girls’ Lunch Out & Mommy’s Fabulous
Fantastic list of social media gurus.
What I learn at this conference will also help my clients – after all, through my other business I offer marketing, event planning, social media management as part of my consulting services.
I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of new people, connecting faces to those I’ve been interacting with on Twitter and learning more about social media. And the best part is I’m making it a road trip with my hubs, lil man and my mom. Cannot wait!
