    Call for Artists for Sandy Treasures Art Auction

    Despite the slow down of the media reports, many families are still struggling after Hurricane Sandy. Many lost their homes and have been jumping from hotel to hotel because they lost their homes. Some have been completely displaced and living with friends and family far away from where they call home. One of my fellow New Jersey Digital Moms, Cindy Dudas, told me about this great fundraising event being organized by Hurricane Sandy Support – South Jersey Facebook page.     I am still quite in shock about what happened to the innocent children, teachers and families at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. There is not much I can do for them. I cannot bring their children back. I cannot heal their hearts.     Before the clock strikes midnight, I wanted to make a quick note. I’m sure you’ve all seen the devastation in Japan and heard about all the lives affected and/or lost. The images truly saddened me and are just horrific when I read the news.     Give away your heart

    If there’s anything I’m very passionate about besides my family and friends, it’s definitely volunteer work and helping others. So, I wanted to share this fundraiser that my friend, Stacey, is doing. This Valentine’s Day she’s doing something special to kick off her new year by giving back. She’s selling “Heart of Snow” postcards with a photo by her. All proceeds will be donated to Sloan-Kettering Memorial Hospital in New York City.
