(Un)Freedom
To help keep me writing, I joined The Red Dress Club (TRDC) now known as Write on Edge. It’s been a while since I’ve done some creative writing. But this week’s prompt is pretty simple and quick. Since lil man is still sleeping this morning I had a little time to participate this week.
This week’s assignment was simple: write a story of your choice.
The catch? Write it as a tweet. Use only 140 characters – including spaces.
Here’s my story:
The challenges of life takes its toll. One day full. Next day dull.
Just want to be free. No responsibilities. See the world & be care free.

Hmmm…I can relate to the sentiments here.
YippyMomma
Lol…. I guess many people do. Thanks for dropping by. Enjoy the weekend.
Denelle @CaitsConcepts
I love that you made this a poem… I have many many days when I’ve wished the same thing. I think we all do!
YippyMomma
Thanks so much Denelle. I didn’t mean to make it a poem but it typed out that way. I rewrote it several times before hitting that post button. lol. Have a great weekend!

You’ve put the words so poetically, that I needed to read it at least twice to aware that it’s actually a bit of a complaint! hahaha. You’re awesome! Even when you’re complaining, longing for that day when you can just do whatever you want, you made it sound so pretty 😉
Great take on the prompt!
YippyMomma
lol. Tried not to sound winey. lol. Thanks! Appreciate your time coming over for a read and sharing your thoughts.
Cheryl @ Mommypants
Poetry, even! I’m impressed!
YippyMomma
Wow! Thanks Cheryl! I didn’t set out to make it a poem… it just came out that way. I appreciate you taking the time to come read and for your words. It means a lot to me. Thanks again! Enjoy the weekend.

Yes! I want all of those things, too. I love the rhythm of this; it almost read like a song. And by the way, the title of the piece? Perfect!
YippyMomma
Thanks so much! I struggled with the title. My hubs suggested something else, but I just felt drawn to the word freedom today. Thanks for coming over. Have a great weekend!
Roxanne

a tweet and a poem? WOW, seriously this was soooo good. 🙂
YippyMomma
Thank you. I guess a lot of people have chosen a different road in life that lead us where we are today. But I’m not unhappy either. Just always wonder.

Oh yes, this is my motto right now too, LOL. School finally started, so maybe I will get some respite. Thank you for stopping by my place and introducing yourself!
YippyMomma
Lol. Yes, always trying to find time for freedom, but I’m also content as well, so cannot complain. Thanks for dropping over!
Amanda
I can totally relate. It would be so nice to just “be”, and not have to worry about anything. Nice job!
YippyMomma
Yes, I definitely agree. Sometimes we get so caught up with life and it’s happenings, we tend to forget to just “be”. I think it’s important to find some “me” time occasionally. Thanks for dropping in!
Karen @ Time Crafted
So relatable. I can feel the need to *see* the moment and all the life inside of it. :>
YippyMomma
We forget to take a break and rest ourselves don’t we Karen? Thanks for dropping by!!!
Leighann
Great job!
I can so relate to this!
Beautiful… to be care free, wouldn’t that be wonderful?!
YippyMomma
It would definitely be fabulous. Sometimes I think about taking a day just to me, but then I wouldn’t be with my boys! lol. Thanks for dropping by.
